Second HTx Transferability Workshop – 23rd & 24th November 2023

As a continuation of the Transferability Webinar in 2020 and the Transferability Workshop at the 10th Adriatic and 7th Croatian Congress of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research in 2022, HTx researchers at the Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) and Syreon Research Institute (Hungary) organised the Second HTx Transferability Workshop on the 23-24 November 2023 in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

The first day of the workshop included a welcome speech from Guenka Petrova, representing the organiser Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), followed by introductions to the HTx project by Wim Goettsch (Project Coordinator – Utrecht University, The Netherlands) and Transferability in HTA by Zoltán Kaló (Syreon Research Institute, Hungary). The programme also included presentations on the generalizability of research methods and the relevance of transferability presented by HTx researchers at TLV (Sweden) and ZiN (The Netherlands). 

The second day kicked off with a presentation about the use of AI in HTA, given by Pekka Siirtola (University of Oulu, Finland). The official programme also included individual updates on the HTx case studies coordinated by EORTC (Belgium), the University of York (United Kingdom) and the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands), as well as a daily overview of the relevance of HTx results within a Bulgarian setting.  

Attendees at the two-day event included HTx researchers, as well as representatives of HTA organisations in the Central and Eastern European region.
