HTx workshop at the 10th Adriatic and 7th Croatian Congress of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research

On the 2nd of June 2022, the HTx consortium has organised a successful pre-conference workshop at the Adriatic Congress of Pharmacoeconomics in Pula about how patient engagement in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and policy decisions can be facilitated in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

The workshop included seven plenary sessions presented by researchers from our partners Utrecht University (The Netherlands), EURORDIS (France), ZiN (The Netherlands), NICE (United Kingdom), Syreon Research Institute (Hungary) and Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria). The topics covered all revolved around the facilitation of patient engagement to HTA and related policy decisions in the various European health systems.

The plenary sessions were followed by two roundtables, with the first one moderated by Ivett Jakab from Syreon and Matteo Scarabelli from EURORDIS discussing the recommendations of senior patient representatives on how patient engagement in HTA can be facilitated in CEE countries. The second roundtable discussion, moderated by Maria Dimitrova (MUS) and Zoltán Kaló (Syreon), discussed a similar topic, looking at the subject from senior policy experts’ point of view.
